About this transfer media:
Even though this paper was developed by
HPS LLC to transfer digitally generated images and artwork to
pre-stretched canvas we have customers that have discovered
other uses for this media. The Canvas Transfer
Paper/film can be successfully used to transfer artwork to
different substrates. This transfer paper works equally
well on drywalls that have been finished with various
types of textured paint, it also works well on different types
of naturally porous items such as: unfinished wood, sand-stone,
slate, marble, unglazed ceramic, leather, terra cotta and so on.
This paper can be used in most desktop
inkjet printers that use regular dye based inks. This would
include 90%-95% of inkjet printers available today.
Detailed Instructions are included with
the items, but below is a quick explanation.
A)
Print on the glossy side of the paper. In general high
resolution and glossy paper/film setting in your printer driver
will give the best results.
B)
Before transferring the image off the paper onto the canvas you
must spray the paper using Papilio crystal Clear Adhesive Spry.
(do not spray the canvas or other substrate you are transferring
the image to.
C) Allow the adhesive to dry for 20
minutes before proceeding to the next step.
D) Apply the paper face down onto the
canvas and press firmly.
E) Gently peel the paper away.
F) To make the texture of the substrate
(canvas, drywall, slate) become as "a part" of the image, firmly
press down on the film and it will form to the texture of the
substrate.
Note: Print a mirror image as you
would do when printing a t-shirt transfer. Mirror image can be
made by flipping the graphic/text horizontally. Most graphic
programs and even printer drivers offer this option with one
click.
